Dr. Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, recently visited HKUST to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from the University. The Center’s director, Prof. Yi Yang, along with fellow AI research experts from the University, had the opportunity to meet him and exchange ideas on the future of AI.
Prof. Yang, a key member of the research team behind InvestLM, a generative AI model developed by the School for the financial services industry, remarked, "I feel honored and privileged to hear from Jensen about AI sector development and to introduce him to our research in generative AI applications for the industry. Thanks to Jensen's vision and the great efforts of his team, pioneering AI chips are powering countless innovative AI applications worldwide, transforming industries and driving technological progress.
